And The Ball Keeps Bouncing...

It's certainly shaping up to be a good week for the President. Zarqawi's death is great news. The fact that he survived the initial blast for a short while (52 minutes)--long enough to know that it was the American's who were responsible for facilitating his journey to the afterlife--is just beautiful. No explosive vest to blow himself up with--no "infidels" to accompany him on his journey to hell. Best munchkin voice ...ding dong the *&^%$#@* dead!

Today, we learn that Rove will not be charged in the leak case. Score number 2 for the White House. This of course drives a certain element of the populace nuts--but hey they were nuts already. IF Fitzgerald actually HAD a case against Rove, can there actually be a question as to whether or not he would prosecute?

Tropical storm Alberto. Score #3 for Bush. How so you ask? It seems to me, particularly in the aftermath of the Gore film on global warming, that the media is excited for the first hurricane of the season. Why? Because Bush in specific and republicans in general cause hurricanes (see Clinton) of course. Last night, on my local news cast, they were calling the storm Hurricane Alberto. It was right there in bold type on the screen for all to see. I'm sure the disappointment is rampant, now that the storm is blowing through with little damage.

Bush is in Iraq. Score #4 as this will obviously bring encouragement to our troops in harms way, as well as the fledgling Iraqi parliament.

Hey, last I checked the market was up some 44 points after a 5 day slide. Let's hope the good fortune continues right on through to Chairman Bernanke's ego--leading to a no-move on June 29.
