Humble Pie

Yeah, well I was wrong. I didn't really trust the polls and for once, such an inaccurate science was fairly accurate. It's ok people. I know this will probably shock some of you, but even I can't be right all the time!

Simply put, voters didn't turn out and here's why. Well, at least we've 2 years to try and fix the problem.

For me, one of the most telling failures of the GOP was when the NRSC threw their support behind Lincoln Chafee, the RINO, and actively opposed his conservative opponent Steven Laffey. That was pure politics in its worst form. Another example is the GOP's support of Representative Foley. This is proof positive that the GOP has abandoned true conservatives in favor of political expediency. While I would like to think that there is a difference between the two parties, the gap is shrinking fast and it should be no surprise that the Republicans did not turn out to support the GOP.

I hope this election is a wake up call, because you are right when you say the difference gap is shrinking. When Republicans run as democrats they lose and when they run as republicans they win. There are to many RINO's & too many squandered opportunities. It is time to return home.
